Safety first Training offers a complete Forklift Operator Safety Training Program that complies with OHSA Regulations applying CSA the  Standards. New Safety Standards
for fork lift truck operators are now in place. Employers are required by OHSA to provided training for their employees. CSA states all fork lift  truck operators are to undergo fork lift truck  full training within 2 - 3 year time frame. There is as well  a 18 month Mid Term evaluation retraining  requirement. Reassigning your Fork lift truck operators to another department additional training  may be need. Call us for more information on the new CSA Standard.

Corporates:

Training  conducted at your workplace allows for a site specific evaluation and or training. The fork lift truck operators will learn and demonstrate the safe operation of an industrial fork lift truck in their working environment .

Fork Lift Truck Training Full or Re - Certification may be completed at your Corporate's Facility or at our Training Center

 

Our Training Objective
All Fork Lift Truck Training / Fork Lift Truck Operator  Evaluation review will involve the following: All operators completing the "Training and or Recertification Process " will have successfully completed "concepts of safe & efficient driving" training. Each operator of an industrial fork lift truck will be evaluated in the safe and efficient use of the fork lift truck. Upon successful completion of the driver operator training program, participants will be "Certified". Safety First Training follows Ministry of Labour  Guidelines, CSA Standards requirements.

           2.  Question and Answers  Open Forum
           3.   Videos Fork Lift Truck Safety / Operation 
           4.   Daily check list explained and reviewed
           5.   Video Pedestrian Safety   
           6.   Lift truck Battery / Propane Training
           7.   Overheads / Review Support
           8.   Written Test / Knowledge / Review / Corrected

        1.  Daily Vehicle Inspection / Documentation    
          2. Fork Lift Truck Battery / Propane Cylinder Exchange Training
          3. Fork Lift Truck Operational Travel Skills / Blind Aisle / Safe Parking
          4. Site Specific Multi Lifts / Pallets / Safe Handling of Products

All Operators will have to successfully complete a written quiz and demonstrate practical skills of the following:
  1. Pre shift Inspection
  2. Safe Operation of the Fork Lift
  3. Placement and Removal of Pallets in Rack
  4. Safe Lift and Travel Skills
  5. Safe Parking Procedures
  6. Propane Cylinder Exchange
  7. Electric Battery Safe Handling
  8. Certification Presentation to Qualified Participants
